Handbags Gone Bad

This week's fashion criminal is a designer considered as one of the pillars of women's fashion and created an empire with his ingenuity, creativity, well the superlatives are endless. His no other than Valentino. When I saw these bags, I had mixed emotions. I actually thought to myself, is the economy so bad even ugly got expensive!

This bag is a collector's item to begin with. Then the black, spray paint looking detail was added. Valentino might as well finished applying the spray paint. Maybe he ran out of it, because he inhaled it all while designing this bag. Hence, the disaster?

I'm on the fence on this next bag. I can just see Carrie Bradshaw strolling down Central Park with this bag on hand and looking fabulous. Well, that's Ms. Sex in the City, she ( and Patricia Field) can make a garbage bag look trendy. So, this bag is a no for me. I like the unique shape but I just can't get over the big rosette detail,  just to much and the price??? I rest my case.
