Chanel Fall Ready-to-Wear 2010 Collection

I was going through my fashion week archives and came across one of my favorite 2010 Fall Ready-to-Wear Collections, Chanel. Though the collection wasn't perfection, I still liked it. To collection simply answers the question, 'What would Coco wear if she was stranded on an iceberg'

Chanel's signature knitwear as always, impeccable. Designs were modern, innovative and very chic. And I loved the fur boots.

The not-so-fabulous pieces in the collections were the faux-fur trousers and Chewbacca inspired garments. Granted most of the fur was fake (snaps for Lagerfeld in doing so) it was a bit to much. I mean, imagine wearing one of these head-to-toe fur garments and asked who are you wearing? Big Foot.

Footwear is one spectrum in the fashion world that has become very competitive through the years. And when I thought that I saw it all, a new season comes along and designers roll out this fabulous, chic, fresh new designs. This fall, luxury designers shows no restraints with their creations with hopes that their shoes will be must-haves shoe for the season.

Karl Lagerfeld emerges as one of my designers to watch this fall. His footwear and accessory collection is one that I haven't seen from him in a long time. He designed a bootie that has a small axe as the spur (shown above)! Nicholas Kirkwood made his signature design edgier with modern architectural cutouts. While Bruno Frisoni created a sandal with bright pink silk fan on the straps.

'From Russia With Love...Chanel'

Chanel Pre-Fall 2009 Collection resurrects Russian imperialism -- extravagant embellished clothes, empress tiaras and men in uniforms. Karl Lagerfeld took a page from Coco Chanel's historical love affairs with men. At first, I thought this was Chanel's Fall 2009 Couture Collection. With a Pre-Fall Collection like this, I can only imagine what Karl Lagefeld has in store for Fall.
