Moving onto the next trend this fall are booties. This fall an array of trendy and chic booties and that will fit oh so fabulously with any budget. All summer long, I've been advising  TheSmartStylist.com readers to refrain from spending hard earned money on shoes, clothing and accessories that are priced to much for something that you can wear for three months. For those who took my advise, grab a hammer and break that piggy bank because it's time to splurge!

As I was shopping for this week's shopping splurge, I came across a pair of fabulous Black Dolce and Gabanna Open Toe Slingback and I told myself this is definitely a splurge. But then I saw other fabulous and chic shoes by Dior, Miu Miu and Giuseppe Zanotti. So, ladies treat yourself with these very stylish shoes. You deserve it!

Christian Dior Fall 2008 Couture Collection is haute couture at it's finest. John Galliano showed us glamourous perfection. Undeniably one of my favorite couture collection of all time. Everything came together for the show, the gorgeous models, fierce fashion and flawless make-up.

Inspired by the 1930s, the rich plum and berry colors contrasted by warm, deep shades of beige punctuated the collection. I may have ran out of superlatives to describe Dior's Fall Collection.

This fall beauty look exudes an independent and free spirited woman. I also like that you don't have to wear haute couture with this look. Just wear darker rich shades for night and lighter shades for that fresh day look.

John Galliano called it 'fresh couture -- refreshed and refined'. I have to disagree, Dior Fall '08 Couture Collection is fresh couture -- glamourous perfection. The collection speaks beyond the realms of fashion that can be appreciated by anyone. Fifties inspired designs paraded the runway done in decadent see through gowns, tulle dresses, hourglass silhouettes, flawless hair and make up and fabulous shoes. Christian Dior delivered a collection above and beyond my expectations. Usually, I expect extravagant fantasy collections that are more for show than wearability but Dior just showed me what Haute Couture is and how it should be. Photo credits: Style.com

Christian Dior is considered one of the most important and influential people in the world of fashion. His name and the brand lives on. Avant Garde couture creations are treasured and collected not only by fashion lovers. YOOX unveiled yesterday a collection of vintage Christian Dior. Select pieces from collections dating back to the 40's. I saw the lookbook and dresses and accessories are just divine. It's owning a piece of history. This year the house of Dior didn't fail to amaze me with the innovative fashion forward collections they delivered. And it seems like next year's collection they will do the same. Cruise 2009 is full of colors, patterns, ruffles, sexy silhouettes and fun attitude. Fabulous job, I say.

Accessories are essential even for men. Which I think are frequently overlooked. This season colors and material are essentially the trend. In footwear, boat shoes are hot and of course sandals and mocs. Aviator sunglasses are a must have as well, invest on a pair you won't regret it.
