Gareth Pugh Fall Ready-to-Wear '09 Collection is by far the first collection that I absolutely love! A contrast to Pugh's white-themed spring RTW, fall showcases fierce and very chic cast of super villains. If ever Gem and the Holograms had a nemesis these are the one. The collection shows Gareth Pugh's imagination and expertise in tailoring. Though there are a couple of looks reminiscent of Rei Kawakubo, from start to finish it was Gareth Pugh at his best.

'Take me to your leader!" That's what this sweater dress is screaming. With all due respect, but oh my stars! I know that Gareth Pugh is famous for over the top and sometimes obscure fashion but this is borderline crazy. And as an avid lover of fashion and admirer of the talents and creativity of designers, I see this as a mockery and a joke. I understand Gareth Pugh's self-expression through fashion, but does he ever think about how the public will respond to this sweater dress if worn by someone? And I know that his designs are not for everyone and recieved accolades for his work, but everyone knows ugly when they see one.
