A Summer Wedding To Remember

A few days ago I got a call from Heather, one of the many great friends I met when I lived in Orlando a couple of years ago. During our conversation, she told me the great news of her long time boyfriend proposing to her last Christmas. And as usual, I screamed like a girl and last I checked her ears are still ringing. I'm so sorry Heather, my excitement got me carried away.

She then asked me a favor that left me speechless. I happily agreed and said it will be an honor to be her stylist for her childhood dream wedding, exchange vows with the man she loves on a beach with the sunset and loved ones as their witnesses. Knowing my good friend as the last minute type of gal ( and she knew that I would've probably said no for such short notice for a once in a lifetime event ), the wedding date is set for August 31st! I told her she's lucky it's her wedding.

After hours of brainstorming, I told her my idea which she excitedly and happily said yes to. In honor of her Greek heritage, Heather will be saying 'I do' looking like a Greek goddess on a white sand beach and clear blue water in Miami. I've chosen this caftan by Kai Milla, a gauzy linen sheath that floats like sea spray, held at the shoulders by a winding rope studded with iridescent mother-of-pearl shells. Her hair will be simple and pulled back with a mother of pearl pin. Her make up will be light and ethereal. Wearing a pair of Bettye Muller gold sandals and a pair of Casadei thongs we haven't decided which pair is for the ceremony and which is for the reception dinner.
