Holiday soirees are just around the corner. And with thousands of dress styles out there, picking the perfect party dress can be time consuming or even frustrating. I selected a few 'head-turning' and 'entrance worthy' styles for your consideration for your next swanky engagement.
- Combo and Sheath Dresses - a combo dress is basically the illusion of having two garments sewed into one. Opting for this saves you time and money in trying to find a top and bottom that works together. Sheath dresses were trendy this past summer and carried on to fall. They are made to emphasis your body. But you don't have to be a size zero to pull off one. Look for banded sheath dresses, this detail will give some added definition to your waist and adds a finished look.
- The Little Black Dress - when in doubt, go black. The classic black dress is undeniably the dress for all seasons. Be a little adventurous and daring by wearing black on black prints with feminine silhouettes.
- The 'Unexpected' Dress - break away from the pack with two-toned, bright colored dresses. Look for silhouettes that are sexy yet elegant.
- Sequin and Lace - dazzle with glitzy sequin dresses and ooze with chic appeal with lace. Just keep in mind what I always say, moderation is key when shopping for these dress styles. Don't go over board. You don't want to look like a disco ball or you're wearing a wedding dress.
- The 'Haute' Dress - edgy, fashion-forward, haute couture dresses will be ever present in every social gatherings this holiday season. If you have the budget, go ahead and splurge!
At the end of the day, what matters most is how a dress makes you feel. And I think it's been proven time and time again you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to feel fabulous. As you can see with the dresses I found. A $40 dress can easily look like a million dollar ensemble. With you savvy fashion sense and smarts you can be the belle of the ball in every holiday party you attend.
As I was finishing up my nightly face regimen, I noticed a few new wrinkles on my forehead. I'm pretty sure they're caused by stress... and you know it takes more facial muscles to frown than to smile. So, this week's fashion criminal will get off easy and I'll keep my rant short and sweet.
Here goes: Moschino! If one of Hollywood's best, Anne Hathaway, and one of fashion's most important and influential, John Galliano, have failed to get the formula quite right on oversize bows, why even bother?!

Bluebee is having perhaps the best sale on women's shoes I've seen all year long. Where else can you find brand new Marc Jacobs sandals for $67.50, Michael Kors pumps for $63.00 or a pair of Casadei pumps for less than $120.00? Expect up to 70% OFF! Most shoes have limited sizes left, but there are some styles that have sizes available. If you can't find a pair in your size, turn your shopping smarts to cold hard cash by auctioning them off on ebay! Happy Shopping!

I have to admit, Trench Coats were never a part of my wardrobe. They are bulky, to much going on and thought the style was a bit 'old' for me. But lately, I've been seeing a few trench coats that have been updated well suited for today's trends and style. One update in particular that made me reconsider adding a trench coat in my closet is the shorter trench coats. It's amazing how something as simple like shortening the length of a trench coat can give it a modern and trendy look.
With that, I'm considering to own my first trench coat ever this fall. And so far, here are my options, they are way above my budget but I think I saved enough to splurge on one.
