YOOX is perhaps the online boutique that offers the most brands and designer fashion apparel, shoes and accessories out there. After viewing the latest Women's Resort 2010 Collections, Prada is by far one of my favorites. I'm not a big fan of bows, but Miuccia made me rethink my non-preference. Colorblocked button-up shirts, skirts, scarf bikini briefs with ties on the hips and shoes are key items in the collection. The modern and minimalist designs reminded me of Prada's signature look. The color palette is fun and well-thought of. Bravo Prada!

Miu Miu is known for creating gorgeous and edgy women's shoes. As the saying goes 'nobody is perfect', this t-strap wedge sandals are not what I expect from Miu Miu. A+ for uniqueness but they are not the prettiest one. Pay $665.00 for a pair of baggy shoes? They look like the wedge broke or something and now the fabric is all slouchy. Oh well. But I'm sure this won't even make the tiniest dent on Miu Miu's fabulous footwear trackrecord.

Prada RTW Fall '09 Collection reminded me of the love at first sight I experienced when I first came to know Prada. The collection is very Miuccia -- simple, yet modern designs. Key items in the collection are these thigh-high fisherman boots, a flapper dress made with strips of leather, and leather suit separates. I love the direction Prada took with the color palette. I also noticed the plunging necklines! Sexy, yet elegant. Bravo Miuccia!

I'm already dreaming of summer -- I'm done with winter. But I really shouldn't complain because winter in Los Angeles feels like a springtime afternoon compared to the Januaries in icy Michigan where I once lived. 

Moving on to the Best 'Splurge' Women's Shoes in 2008, this category is perhaps the toughest category to narrow down. Choosing the top 3 amongst the creme de la creme of footwear designers wasn't easy. But in the end, I'm happy with the outcome.

First on the list is vanguard shoe designer from Miami and  2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award nominee, Alejandro Ingelmo. His tastefully designed avant-garde metallic shoes captivated me! Can't wait for his next collection. Next is oh-so-chic Miu Miu. Miu Miu designs are innovative and fresh. Seems like Miu Miu shoes are always a couple of step ahead of the pack. And last but certainly not the least, Dior. John Galliano rallied fashion powerhouse Christian Dior season after season in 2008. J'adore Dior!
