Smart Designer Spotlight: Richard Chai

Richard Chai nicknamed as the 'boy wonder'' of the New York fashion scene showed his first collection during the 2004 New York Fashion Week and he didn't disappoint no one. After working with top designers like Marc Jacobs; there he created the Marc by Marc Jacobs line, Donna Karan and revamped TSE's haggard look as Creative Director. He decided it was time to create a line that bore his name. In his own words, 'Pure. Intelligent. Refined' is what to expect from Richard Chai Fall 2008. My personal favorite from his Fall 2008 collection is the Curve Seam Silk Dress. This dress has it all, the impeccable detail work, sophisticated and modern look. Made with Purple ( a key color for fall ) silk and the back of this dress is simply divine!
