Prairie Underground has always been a hit or miss for me. This mini dress... a home run! Sizzle wearing this Swizzle Mini Dress made with 100% Organic Cotton. I love the simple yet very chic design. And this dress proves that even with the slightest detail, in this case the pleat on the shoulder can transform any garment from blah to zing! Pair the dress with pumps or boots to get that eco-fabulous look. The dress is on sale for $65, now that's a steal.
My sincere apologies my dear readers for I haven't been posting as usual. I just started a new job and there are days that I come home exhausted. I hope you understand and can relate. Now back to fashion!
I love me some asymmetric specially on dresses. Some designs do get a little to much for my liking. But this EDUN Double Layer Dress is just how it should be. Chic, modern, feminine and sophisticated. The silhouette and one-sleeve gives the dress some edge. Made with 100% Organic Cotton. I actually have seen this dress in person and love the softness of the material. The price is just about right. Look eco-chic and eco-fabulous paired with flat sandals or ankle booties.
When I hear Melissa Shoes; chic, stylish, trendy and eco-friendly comes to mind. The brand gains more following every time a new collection launches. This time around, Melissa ups the ante by collaborating with top fashion designers. The latest partnership is with one of my all-time favorite designers Jean Paul Gaultier. Plastic shoes never looked so luxurious and very eco-chic. I love the covered and organic look of the design. The price might seem high but considering how much Gaultier's footwear costs this is not so bad.
Another big trend this summer is tribal inspired pieces. From prints and patterns on apparel to unique indigenous materials on accessories. The best way to incorporate this trend to any look are subtle touches. Tribal inspired jewelry adds that global chic to any ensemble. Take it up a notch with eco-friendly pieces. One of my favorite designs are from DLC Brooklyn.
Designed by Susan Domelsmith, you can find understated yet elegant designs made with reworked vintage jewelry mixed with other materials like bamboo and leather. I particularly love the uniqueness of each piece from their collection. This Vintage Painted Necklace can be worn with both casual and formal looks. And definitely would look sexy paired with swimwear.

EDUN Silk Patchwork Tank $178.00
This is the second time Stem landed the Smart EcoStyle of the Week pick. I like the simple yet stylish designs and priced reasonably. A friend of mine bought the Stem Organic Stripe Dress that I featured last month and she is loving. It's comfortable and made well. This Tie Die Burnout Tank is perfect for layering. Made with recycled polyester/cotton and manufactured in the U.S.A. I particularly like the fit, long and lean. Pair it with denim jeans or shorts.
Gypsy 05 has quite the Hollywood celebs following. Jessica Alba, Nikki Hilton and Zac Efron are just a few celebrities seen wearing this fabulous line made in Hollywood, CA. Gypsy 05 offers trendy, stylish apparel and accessories for both men and women. I have to say it's their organic maxi dresses that first caught my eye.
This tie-dye banded maxi dress is sexy and eco-fabulous. I love the color and the tie-dye detail on the dress is quite effective. This dress would be a great addition to your summer wardrobe paired with gladiator flats. Shopping note: this dress is also available on Gypsy 05's website for $95 but the only size available is small. Saks has it available in 4 sizes.
Melissa shoes are definitely not just resting on their laurels. Every season, they offer chic, stylish and fresh designs. For spring and summer Melissa rolled out a collection of ecofabulous flats. I particularly love this Ultragirl Crinkle Paper Flat. The crinkle paper print is very innovative. Made with recycled and recyclable materials. Priced so reasonably at only $70! Pair it with shorts, skirts, skinny jeans and so on. Endless pairing possibilities.
