Industry News: Howard Socol Steps Down at Barneys!

Barneys New York announced today, that Howard Socol has resigned and will be leaving his post as chairman, CEO and president of one of the most recognized luxury department stores in the world.  With his departure, Barneys New York has yet to find to fill the position.  

In an interview with WWD Magazine, Socol said that it was his decision to leave.  Seven years, four flagship stores, fifteen co-op stores and two outlet stores. Socol said "...I felt it was time to take time to enjoy all the opportunities that life affords."

Good luck Mr. Socol and thank you for seven fabulous years!
