AllSaints is on top of my favorite brands at the moment. I love their modern and edgy designs. I also like their color palette. All their pieces can virtually match whatever you already have in your closet. Sale ends soon so get shopping. Shopping note: AllSaints doesn't have a sale section on their site, sale items are mixed in with the rest of the merchandise. Enjoy!
'Rana' Handbag $346.50, 'Bolly' Top $94.50, 'Portia' Sandal $230.00,
'Ashby' Jegging $90.00, 'Zette' Ring $50.00
UK brand AllSaints Spitalfields has started their version of a British invasion in the U.S. this year opening stores in Miami, Los Angeles and most recently in Soho, NY. Their line is a mixture of rock n' roll and Goth with an edge. I love this brand a lot. The distressed and vintage feel done with a luxurious twist. The quality is top notch and wearable. Hence, the price is teetering to almost the luxury mark. A few more stores are slated to open soon in Chicago, San Francisco and Las Vegas.
AllSaints started out with menswear in 1994 and slowly expanded their line. Now apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and kids. They also have housewares and a vintage line.
'Blackstar' Short Kick Denim $105.00, Panel Military Boot $250.00,
'Monteray' Long Sleeve Shirt $84.00, Cross Ring $30.00
I've always been a fan of Comme des Garcons. They've created innovative and fashion forward garments through the years. But sometimes harnessing all that creative juices can be a good thing or else... disaster! And that is just what this men's jacket with applique is. The design is so wrong it's criminal. It looks like a home economics project. And the price??? absolutely ridiculous. I rest my case.
Cotton Cardigan $69.50, V-Neck Tee $17.50, Plaid Shirt $39.50.

Domineco and Stefano described their Men's Spring 2010 Collection as sparkling and glitzy. Give me dazzling over military inspired ( D&G Fall 2009 ) any day. Dolce & Gabbana hit all the right buttons again for me. From the color palette to a new trend of wearing pjs under ripped jeans... im in designer heaven. The design-duo showcased their mastery in tailoring with interesting jackets with rosette details on lapels and flare in trendy casual wear with embellished denim jeans. This might have been for Spring but I have to say the collection was a scorcher!

This season, sweater dresses are quite the trend for women and sweater coats for men. Sweater coats are basically... a sweater and coat hybrid. A lightweight coat with the stylish layering a sweater can render. I particularly like the cardigan style sweater coats. Just like this one by Richard Chai. Very wearable with casual everyday and spiffed-up, evening looks.
This cashmere bomber cardigan is a smart-investment. The modern yet classic design will never go out of style. So, you should get a lot of mileage from this splurge.
Though checked shirts are quite the trend for men this fall, this Adam Kimmel shirt is a perfect example of designers not getting it. The right pocket is to low and the oversize pocket... necessary. I know that there are only so many designs and styles you can do to men's shirts. But making an ugly, dated one is shouldn't be an option. And to add insult to injury, the price is well above $500!! Come on now.
Along with plaid and checked shirts, quilted vest are a must-have in every guys wardrobe this fall. You can dress them up or wear them as part of your everyday casual ensemble. I recommend vests that are not to puffy with hip, stylish designs.
So how much would you spend on one? Ideally, any quilted vest under $100 is great. But if you can invest on a $150-$200 that's great. Any garment that you spend on with that money should last you a couple of years. Granted you select a style that is classic and won't go out of style.
