I am for innovation in fashion but sometimes some designers just have a hard hand when creating their vision with thoughts or should I say delusions that what they made can or is the next big thing.
Take for example this Bi-Color Dirty Calf Hi-Top Sneaker from Officine. This sneaker gives the illusion of fusing two styles of shoes. Well, it didn't work! To add insult to injury, this abomination's price. I just have one question, why ruin a perfectly good shoe to begin with?

Fashion is one of those things that we don't really have to take so seriously... well, sometimes. When I came across this Adidas Mickey High-Top Sneakers, I thought they are really cool! I felt like the little kid in me was about to snag them and skip around while singing the Mickey Mouse Club song. On a serious note, us guys don't really have much in our fashion arsenal that are statement worthy. Unlike the ladies, they have a mother-load.
These sneakers are a great investment. They are stylish, trendy, fun and nothing like paying homage to an icon. "M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E". Who wants to go to Disneyland?
![]() | This are the ugliest shoes I have seen for a while. Usually when a designer collaborates with another designer or brand great things are made. But not on this one! It is quite obvious that cut-out details are not meant to use in all styles of footwear specially on men's shoes. I mean, what were they smoking when the 'powers-at-be' at Dr. Martens O.k.'d this design by Raf Simons? With all due respect to Raf Simons, we are not that desperate for a hot trend. We are quite happy with classic Dr. Martens shoes. This are more like a Dr. Frankenstein creation. Goes to show and I have said this before, some trends for women are best left for women. |
