Vanguard designs, chic and fierce are the words that come to mind when I hear Alejandro Ingelmo. Instantly I was a fan when I came across one of his fabulous shoes, 'Thriller 2' (shown below: $1059.00 Zappos). I also love the fact that Alejandro Ingelmo has both a men's and women's collection, equally edgy and fashion-forward.
Alejandro Ingelmo's was able to achieve a synergy of metallic colors and geometric shapes without looking tacky. A limited selection of small leather goods for men are now available and the much anticipated launch of his accessories collection for both men and women is in the works.
A finalist for this year's CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, I think he will win! I'm sure we will be seeing Alejandro Ingelmo's footwear designs in the years to come.

It may seem that I've totally forgotten about men's trends for fall since I've been focusing on the ladies quite a bit. As a gentleman, I abide by the 'ladies first' principle. Well, that and the fact that men really don't have as long of a list of must-haves this season as the women.
But that doesn't mean we should disregard the hip and cool styles of the season -- and I am certainly always an advocate of expressing yourself and investing in your own personal style. As I always say, "You make fashion happen, not the other way around."
The ladies have their booties for fall. And men, we have dress boots. Because they are almost always versatile and wearable, you can pair them with denim jeans, a sweater or shirt and leather for a relaxed, casual, day look -- or you can kick it up a notch and achieve a sharp, sophisticated look for work or business casual parties by pairing them with some flat front or boot cut pin-stripe pants, or black or gray pants topped with a cashmere turtleneck, dress shirt or a 'dressier' sweater.
I've collected a few dress boot styles for reference if you're shopping for a pair. And as for price points, expect to pay $99.00 for a decent quality and up to $2,000 for those with a sky-is-the-limit budget. Happy Shopping!

Sneakers are becoming more than the summer footwear of choice for men. Athletic shoe manufacturers like Puma and Reebok now offer fashion-forward designs and trendy styles. Top designer brands Dolce & Gabanna, Christian Dior and Gucci expanded and developed their sneaker designs in response to the increasing preference and popularity of sneakers amongst their male clientele.
This fall, metallic sneakers are the hot! Expect to see a lot of guys sporting edgy and stylish pairs in the gym, at parties and specially in the clubs. But a word of caution for the guys, don't wear them everyday or every time you're out dancing with your posse. I say this because, you'll definitely get noticed and complimented wearing your new Gucci Metallic Gold sneaker, but don't expect the same response on the third consecutive Saturday night you've worn them. Try on different style pairings and looks that coordinates well with metallic sneakers. And you don't have to wear sneakers that are solid metallic. Sneakers with metallic details would work as well.

Christian Louboutin is perhaps the best and the most important fashion footwear designer. His 
mastership of old world cobblery combined his passion for fashion has produced chic, elegant shoes and some considered as works of art. Then, I came accross this pair of men's evening pumps. My reaction was shocked and pondered on the question, if a guy liked to wear shoes that looks like women's shoes; why not step it up a notch and wear women's shoes that are chic and fashionable. I always have to sacrifice style for arch support or vice-versa. Well, that problem has been remedied when Puma launched Cell Meio. My preference on leather shoes has always been matted finish. I stay from shiny or glossy finish maybe it reminded me of a time in my life, ROTC! I thought of every possible reason to excuse myself from the torturous college prerequisite. It wasn't fabulous at all. But I heard that ROTC is no longer administered back in the Philippines. Lucky!
And when I saw Prada Men's Fall/Winter 2008 Collection, I just had the urge to splurge and should be expecting a pair of Prada Patent Leather Boots from Raffaelo Network in a few days!
