Smart Style: Summer Coats and Jackets

Maybe it's global warming, out  here in L.A. it will be 100 degrees during the day and down to the 50's at night. And when you're still out and about and the mercury drops, "Darn, wish I had (a) my jacket!" Jacket and coats are an all year affair. If you only have coats for winter or fall, it wouldn't hurt to invest on a spring / summer jacket.  This summer look for light fabrics that provide enough protection from the elements. Style wise, go with plain or solid pieces. Keep in mind, it may be a jacket but when you put that on it becomes part of your ensemble,  trendy and hip is the way to go.
