Hello world! It's been a while since I posted anything. It has been challenging to work full time and blog. Blogging is not as easy at it seems, Specially, if it's a one person team. With this, I've been contemplating, perhaps it is time to close down thesmartstylist.com. It has been a good 4 year run. I may come to a decision by this year's end. For now, let's get back on the task at hand!
Anything mirrored, shiny and sparkly I love! That's why these Yves Saint Laurent pumps made it to this week's investment worthy splurge. These pumps are modern and edgy yet feminine, sexy and uber chic. Easy to pair with any look for day or evening. I love the silver metallic pump but the black one has more of a classic feel to it.

Spring officially starts in two weeks (March 20th) and surely I'm not the only one excited about this. But so far it has been a very forgiving winter for us in Michigan. As the new season unfolds, closets and wardrobes change as well. We tuck our winter ensemble to the back, spring front and center.
Herald in the new season with these eco-chic vegan shoes by TOMS. Made with no animal products and pesticide free cotton. The watercolor floral print gives them a fresh and light feel. As always, TOMS would match every pair sold with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need.
Seeing these sneakers was a 'WTH' moment for me. Personally, leopard print on itself is fine, but to embellish can just be to much! Don't get me wrong, I love me some metal in my fashion, in this case though to garish. And yes, the above photos shows brand new sneakers, the worn or should I say dirtied look comes with the $400 price tag. Overall, these sneakers are not a smart investment.
